Wall-mounted alcohol screening
There are two wall-mount systems. Both use a fuel cell sensor and give a reading in under a second, which is what makes them usable at a door everybody walks through.

Every figure here is read from the product's own page. Where a product does not publish a number, this table says so rather than estimating it.
What the difference buys
The Pro carries WiFi and Bluetooth — it is in the product's own name — so a reading can leave the unit instead of being copied off the screen. It also reports in mg/L as well as ‰, so a result can be written into a register that uses either. If nothing needs to read the unit remotely and your register uses ‰, the A-450 answers the same question for less.
Why a fitted unit rather than a handheld
It sits where people already pass, nobody carries it or forgets it, and a reading in under a second keeps a queue moving. A handheld is the better answer when testing happens in a vehicle or at a changing location.
Questions
- What is the difference between the A-450 and the A-450 Pro?
- The Pro has WiFi and Bluetooth, and reports in mg/L as well as ‰. The A-450 reads up to 6.0‰.
- How long does a test take?
- Under a second to read, after a five-second warm-up.
- Do they use mouthpieces?
- Both are breath-sampling units. Which sampling configuration you receive depends on the order — ask us and we will confirm it for the model before you buy.
- Do they need recalibration?
- Yes. A fuel cell sensor drifts less than a semiconductor one, so the interval is longer, not absent. Each product page lists its calibration cycle.
- Can one unit cover two entrances?
- No. A fitted unit covers the door it is mounted at.
